The Modern Club Supports The Hummingbird Garden At The Horticultural Center

On Friday, May 20, 2011, members of The Modern Club appeared at The Horticultural Center to show their support for The Hummingbird Garden. The Modern Club also made a small donation to the garden to help buy more plants and supplies.
Pamela Sodi, caretaker for Sweetbriar Mansion, started The Hummingbird Garden in 2008. In 2009 she refocused the garden to attract hummingbirds. The garden has won a few prizes, including first prize for “Small Community Garden” in 2008 and 2009.
Visitors to the garden have increased the past few years, according to Pam. As a result, Pam is busy installing more educational information about the hummingbirds.
