Tour Sweetbriar Mansion
As Part Of The 2010 Holiday Tours
Of The Historic Fairmount Park Houses

Sweetbriar’s theme for Holiday Tours 2010 is “The Midas Touch”, named for the character King Midas who turned to gold everything he touched.

The Holiday Tours of historic houses in Fairmount Park are a unique holiday tradition. Explore Fairmount Park’s 18th-century homes. Discover decorating and celebration ideas with family and friends.
Every year couples, families and groups throughout the Philadelphia area look forward to the Holiday Tours of the Historic Fairmount Park Houses. For two weeks only the renowned Fairmount Park Houses put on their holiday finery and host special festive tours for all to enjoy.
Six historical homes will be decked out in various holiday decor with docents to point out the rich history, architecture and unique holiday decorations at each site.

Cedar Grove: “Scenes From A Woman’s Place”
Laurel Hill: “A Victorian Wedding”
Lemon Hill: “Jewels In The Park”
Mount Pleasant: “Scenes from a Man’s World”
Sweetbriar: “The Midas Touch”
Woodford: “Twelfth Night”
Strawberry Mansion is closed for renovations, but will host two events during the House Tours.
The Holiday Tours are an important fund-raising event that sustains the ongoing work of the historic house stewards to protect and preserve these significant properties that give our park its unique charm. Please plan to join us for this wonderful celebration of Fairmount Park's history and hospitality.
