Visit Sweetbriar Mansion and take an exciting trip back in time. Take a tour of this beautiful 18th-century mansion built in the colonial era of the United States. Witness how colonial leaders lived soon after the founding of our nation.
Here are a few highlights of Sweetbriar:
- Samuel Breck built Sweetbriar Mansion in 1797
- Samuel Breck knew many leading figures of the time, including Marquis de Lafayette and Joseph Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon
- Sweetbriar was built in Federal style with influences of Georgian symmetry
Sweetbriar is open for tours between July 1st and December 15th. We look forward to your visit.
